About Kikaha by Island Air 08 – Spring 2016
In Hawai‘i, gazing out to sea could be considered a statewide pastime. But this issue of Kīkaha looks in the opposite direction to those getting their hands dirty in the soil, those helping make Hawai‘i a place of creativity and sustainability. From a food truck in Honolulu sourcing bananas from island growers and turning them into healthy soft-serve to several farms on Maui that rear relatively quirky crops, each story shows that when inspiration and dedication meet, great things come to be.
